Rishikesh is the best place to visit, especially for Delhite’s because it’s just 228 km in distance by road. Sharing my experience and would appreciate if anyone would like to share their experience as well.
Rishikesh is located in the heart of Uttrakhand and it is the best location for Delhite’s. It’s just 228 km from Delhi by road. You can go by bus, train, car, and bike also.
I just want to share my experience for a two-day trip. Basically, it was a 1-night trip only. We were sitting in the office and decided to go outside Delhi hence we planned to go for a road trip. It was a Saturday evening and we decided to leave our after office. Along with my 5 friends I started the journey at 7pm.
We reached Haridwar around 1am and stayed at the Dharamshala to take a short nap. We woke up early at 4am collected our clothes and rushed to River Ganga. We reached there at 4:30 am and took a bath. Then we attended Ganga Aarti at 5:00 am. After that, we explored the nearby market and had an amazing and refreshing tea.
Then we left at 6:30am for Rishikesh. First we decided to enjoy trekking and we reached “Gudchatti Trek” and there was a beautiful waterfall, we enjoyed a lot and captured some beautiful moments in the camera. After that, we went to “Neelkant Temple”. Finally, the main attraction and the most enjoyable part of the trip was to begin……!!!!!!
Yes, it was the rafting time. It was 2:00 pm and a very hot day, but we didn’t bother about the hot weather and started for trekking. One more thing I want to tell you …… if you are planning for rafting then you need to pre-booking for that because recently Govt. took the rights for rafting activity from local service providers for some safety issues.
We start from Shivpuri (16Km) rafting trek. We enjoyed all the rapids, followed the instructor’s instructions and jumped from the boat in rapids with rope. Saw some beaches spot, ate Maggie from the Maggie point and on the beaches, the foreigners were taking a sunbath. Now it was time to finish our rafting and go back to the point from where we had started.
It was indeed a great and memorable experience to visit Rishikesh and yes, of course, we cherished some great moments in our friendship
If you have some experience like that, you can also share your stories on this platform.
